The World’s Most EXPENSIVE Face Cream

In what could be the most expensive face cream in the world, Shiseido is introducing a limited-edition face cream retailing for $13,300.

Yep, that’s right folks…$13,300 for a 50 gram jar of face cream.

Shiseido’s“Cle de peau Beaute,” sold under the name “La Crème” internationally, claims to lift and tighten skin with powerful anti-aging properties. It is already sold in stores for about $632 for a 1.80z jar but to commemorate their 140th anniversary, Shisheido called on French designer Olivier Severe, who handcrafted 50 gram jars using 30 layers of crystal, and three platinum rings.

Only 3 of these were produced and will go on sale Shiseido’s flagship store in the glitzy Ginza district in September, but the cosmetics company is offering a more “reasonably priced” version of the product, at just over $1,000 for a limited time.

 

“We do not usually make limited editions of our products, but this is to mark a special occasion for the Cle de Peau Beaute line,” Megumi Kinukawa, a Shiseido spokesperson said. “We hope it will appeal to our loyal customers and people who are interested in gorgeous brands.”

Shiseido will begin taking orders for the cream on Aug. 30. The company will hold a lottery if more than three people are interested.
