West Coast Represent: CEW 2015 Beauty Insider’s Choice Awards

Time for the West Coast to represent!

CEW’s annual Insider’s Choice Beauty Awards is now open and accepting entries by September 24th. Known as the “Oscars” for the beauty industry, The Insider’s Choice Beauty Awards recognize the most innovative beauty products of the year. Winners of the award are selected by CEW’s 6,000 beauty industry members, and the winners are revealed at the annual Beauty Awards Luncheon in NYC on May 15th, 2015.

There are 6 categories:

• Best Seller Award: Recognizes the product categories with the most growth in sales and the best-selling product in that category, in mass and department stores. Winners are based on retail sales data from Nielsen and NPD.

• Eco Beauty Award: Recognizes a brand that has moved further toward the goal of sustainability. The Award was established to encourage taking steps towards sustainability within the beauty industry. Eligible entries must demonstrate that measurable step changes have been implemented within the past 3 years.

The 2014 CEW Insider’s Choice Award Winners

• Iconic Beauty Award: Recognizes two products (one in mass & one in prestige) that are trendsetters in beauty. To be Iconic, the product must have lead the way in creating a new category of product, being the first of its kind and still be successful at retail in the US today.

• Indie Brand Award: Celebrates the creativity, originality and entrepreneurial spirit at a small independent beauty company. It’s a name change designed to engage and introduce beauty consumers to the ingenuity of an “indie.”  The 2015 Indie Brand Beauty Award is selected by a special Voting Committee comprised from the CEW Board of Governors and select industry experts.

• Most Buzzed About Award

• QVC Beauty Quest: CEW and QVC are once again partnering for the Insiders’ Choice Beauty Awards annual QVC Beauty Quest – the search for the next “big thing” in beauty.  All products and brands demonstrated at the 2015 Product Demo on March 11, 2014 are eligible for the QVC Beauty Quest!
