NAFE Names 2012 Top 50 Companies for Female Executives

The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) recently named top companies in the U.S. that are major employers and committed to hiring, retaining and promoting executive women.

In an annual report conducted by Working Woman magazine, NAFE released their list of Top 50 Companies for Executive Women. According to Working Woman, the selection process includes an application of more than 200 questions on female representation at all levels, especially the corporate officer and profit-and-loss leadership ranks. The application also tracks access and usage of programs and policies that promote the advancement of women, as well as the training and accountability of managers in relation to the number of women who advance.

All applicants to the NAFE Top Companies list receive feedback showing how they compare to other applicants; however, the names of applicants that do not make the list are kept confidential. Company profiles data are culled from submitted applications and reflect 2010 data. To be considered, companies must have a minimum of two women on their board.

-Bank of America

-General Mills
