Yummy Beauty Products that you Eat & Drink

Skincare that you can….eat and drink? Looks like skincare is no longer just topical but now ingestible!

Vincent Borba is launching a cosmetics line for Walgreens that included his popular Skin Balance waters ($24.99 for 12) in four varieties: Age Defying, Firming, Clarifying, Replenishing. He continues to sell his Skin Balance Water and Crystalline varieties- all packed with BORBA’s proprietary bio-vitamin complex and is designed to target specific skin care needs. He also offers Slimming Chocolate Chews ($19.99), Clear Skin Capsules ($19.99) and Aqua-less Crystallines Antioxidant Drink Mix ($1.99 each).

Earlier this month, makeup artist, Sue Devitt, launched a new beauty collection with Tanya Zuckerbrot (the official dietitian to the Miss Universe Organization) called the Io Beauty which you DRINK. Retailing at $38, the Beauty Booster is the first skincare product engineered to be used both topically, and as a beauty ingestible to protect and rejuvenate the skin. Packaged to look like a cross between serum and a nail polish bottle, this burgundy-colored liquid loaded concentrated super-fruits like Acai, Goji Berry, Mangosteen and Wild Australian Blackberries. It can be eaten/drunk alone or drizzled over yogurt or mixed with club soda.

Also just launched this month was Balance Bar’s chocolate-flavored Nimble, and is billed as the first nutrition bar to specifically nourish skin. Retailing for $1.69, Nimble bars are fortified with rich Antioxidants, Beta-Carotene and 10mg of FloraGLO® Lutein, nimble provides vital nutrients for healthy skin and seven critical ingredients for women’s bodies: protein (10g); fiber (5g); calcium; iron; folate; and vitamins D and B6.

And let’s not forget the perfume candy.  Currently available in Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Hungary, these sugar-free, fragrance-transmitting candy called Deo, releases a rose fragrance through the skin after eating.

Beauty maybe in the eye of the beholder but how about the stomach?
