Nail Experts “Nailed” it at BIW’s Pink Report Luncheon

Did you know that 55% of women do their nails on Saturday?

This was just one of many FUN and FABULOUS facts we learned at Beauty Industry West‘s March 11th luncheon – “The Latest Pink Report: Nailed – The New Allure of Nail Color.” We were thrilled to be one of the event sponsors, since we LOVE listening to these fabulous women speak!

For many women, nail polish is the latest beauty buzz word on their lips – and fingertips – and with good reason. It’s official – beauty consumers are in love with nail polish! BIW’s speaker panel of nail experts included:

If you haven’t had a chance to hear these women speak, please sought them out at a future beauty industry event! A proven beauty entrepreneur and market researcher, Alisa Marie Beyer is the Founder and Creative Director of The Beauty Company (TBC), a global beauty consulting firm that specializes in research, product and brand strategy. Shel Pink is lifestyle futurist who first captured our attention  in 2004 with the launch of her green, sustainable and vegan body care line, SpaRitual. Michelle Toma Olson combines her creative beauty sense and business acumen as Founder and President of ‘Tini Beauty, with its Nailtini, Liptini and Eyetini brands. In 2004, she launched Nailtini Cocktails for Nails, one of the first green nail polish lines that incorporated the “cocktailing” concept of using more than one product to create a desired effect.

The Beauty Company’s latest Pink Report, “Nailed: The Allure of Nail Color” shines a light on the nail polish consumer with a deep dive into her thoughts, feelings, habits, attitudes, expectations and emotions, illuminating just how important this category is to both consumers and the industry. Why are women reveling in an obsession with color, color, color? TBC’s Pink Report is an intimate study that takes a fresh perspective on every segment of the nail color landscape, uncovering the facts, figures, trends and stats driving this billion dollar business as well as getting insights and intelligence on everything nail.

  • 55% of women do their nails on Saturday (Social Media experts – this might be great to factor into your strategy?)
  • OPI and Essie are amongst the most purchased nail polish brands.
