If your favorite Bobbi Brown product was discontinued – we have some great news for you…it might come back!
The brand just launched its Bobbi Brings Back campaign, where fans like yourself can vote for discontinued products you’d like to see return on shelves.

“It’s important to me that I’m always listening to my fans,” Brown said in a release. “This is an opportunity for me to show my Facebook followers that I appreciate all of their support and thank them.”
First up: Lip colors. To vote, “Like” Bobbi Brown’s Facebook page, and pick one of the 10 most-requested shades. Voting closes February 29th, and the winning hue will be available exclusively for Brown’s Facebook fans to purchase.
In the future, the Bobbi Brings Back campaign will include eye shadows, blushes, and more.
We hope that other beauty brands will soon follow suit since we all understand how painful the search is for the perfect makeup shade.

In what could be the best (or worst) beauty trend, the hottest beauty trend of 2012 is IMPERFECTION, according to a recent NYT article.
That’s right, ladies. No more matching lip liners, meticulous cat-eyes and spotless foundation. According to leading hair & makeup artists, the new look for this year is effortless and minimalist. Tousled hair, smudged eyeliner, dewy lips and luminous skin are in.
According to Terry Barber, director of makeup artistry for MAC Cosmetics, “Perfection got slightly boring.”
But before you start celebrating about rolling out of bed in the morning and heading outside makeup-free, realize that “minimalist” doesn’t necessarily mean “no-makeup” at all.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
-Fingertips: Instead of makeup brushes, use your fingertips to create a more natural & relaxed look when applying foundation, blush, or bronzer. The heat from your fingertips also allows a more even distribution for a non-matte look.
-Popsicle mouth: In a look called the “popsicle mouth” by Emily Kate Warren, a member of the Shiseido fashion runway team, set aside your lip liners, apply a bright lip color on the center of your lips and then press and roll your lips together. The darkest concentration of the lip color should be in the center of your lips and then lightly fade out so it looks like you just sucked on a popsicle.
-Restraint: Remember the KISS theory – Keep it Simple Stupid. If you’re wearing a dark lipstick, keep your eye makeup to a bare minimum and vice versa. The goal is to look balanced and not overdone.
-Low-maintenance Eyes: If you can’t let go of your favorite eyeliners, then just ease up a little and only line your eyes from the outer corners to the middle instead of all the way. The models from Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2012 rocked this look and looked amazing! You also want to remember to go light on your eyebrows if you use heavy eye makeup.

So you see, sometimes less is more!

Looks like Japanese photography brand, Fujifilm, is taking the tagline “get rid of wrinkles in a flash” quite literally!
Using their experience with photo film technology, Fujifilm claims to have discovered that the collagen used in photography can erase wrinkles on our face.
According to Fujifilm, a special collagen call Pico-Collagen can penetrate the skin through gaps between cells, restoring the skin’s youthful suppleness and elasticity. This same collagen is also used in photography to stop old photographic images fading. The natural ingredient in the product is astaxanthin — a pink pigment found in shellfish and salmon — and is believed to protect the skin from ultraviolet light.
Fujifilm’s new anti-aging skincare collection called ASTALIFT, will help boost skin tone and protect the skin from harmful ultra-violet sun rays. Astalift products all contain an antioxidant called astaxanthin – a pink pigment found in shellfish and salmon.Scientists from research groups in Europe, America and Asia have recognised astaxanthin as more effective at reducing the damage caused by ultraviolet rays than CoQ10 – the antioxidant co-enzyme that is commonly used in anti-ageing treatments.
Already introduced to China and other Southeast Asia countries in 2011, Astalift is set to launch in France in February, followed by other European countries.
Now that’s what we call PICTURE PERFECT!
